I don't really know what to say. Every time I see Brittany in a picture
I break down crying. We shared a few classes over the few years I knew
her, but we were never terribly close. But still, I feel as if there is
a void in my life now. My heart hurts for her constantly and my tears
don't feel so empty anymore.
Brittany's mom is so beautiful, just like her daughter
was and always will be. Her little sisters' smiles make me want to hug
them as if they were my own. I'm so so sorry for everything the people
who cared about Brittany are going through. Just thinking about how that
amazing smile has touched so many people just as it has touched me is
something I will never forget.
Rest In Peace Brittany
If anyone deserves to, it's you

The message I posted on here originally posted was one of the ones that
was lost. I started that original posting out with something like this:
"I have sat here many times to post something, looking
for the words that would make the pain go away for Brittany's family -
but there are no words that can do that". Ever since the messages were
lost I have again found myself doing the same thing. Star, how I wished
there were words I could say or something I could do to turn the sorrow
and pain into joy and laughter for all of you!! You are always in my
thoughts.
To Brittany's amazing parents: you did a wonderful job raising your
daughter. And my heart aches for you!
To her entire family - though she was here for such a short time - I
hope you can take comfort in knowing that she shared the love you gave
her with everyone she knew. She got that wonderful trait from all of
you! She touched many people's lives, young and old, and continues to do
that even now. Her memory will always be in your hearts, as it will in
mine and many others.
I will never forget her pretty blue eyes or the contagious smile she had
every time I saw her, whether is was when she got into my car on the way
to cheer practice, or when I'd see her outside when I passed by her
house or in the car on the way to school in the mornings. I will cherish
the memories of her walking through my door with my daughter, Michelle -
she always gave me that smile and a hug!! I will miss her.

I go to Westview High and I didn't know Brittany, but I had a large
number of friends who knew her through cheer. I decided to visit this
website to find out more about the girl that I'd heard so many wonderful
things about. Reading the letters from her parents was very inspiring
and I can only aspire to be as caring and loved as Brittany was...and
still is.

Star & Family,
I was devastated to hear the tragic news about your beloved Brittany. As
her former third grade teacher, I fondly remember the little girl who
invited her teacher to her Spice Girls birthday party along with her
newborn son. We had so much fun that day! Brittany was a kind, sweet,
and thoughtful young lady whose life was cut short too soon. Please know
that not only I, but the entire staff at Blossom Valley Elementary has
you in our thoughts and prayers.

I am very sorry about this whole tragic experience. I too know what it
is like to lose someone. I know I never knew Brittany but someone on
myspace sent me her site and I actually took the time out to read it and
found this page.
I was very touched and got tears in my eyes from reading
everything, especially the letters. Once again I am very sorry.
P.S. Now she is with God and is watching over you this instant
definitely. You will meet again.

Hey. My name is Katie. I was just doing some research and I found this
site. None of you know me but I want to share my comfort for all of you.
I found myself crying over this and I didn't even know Brittany. I know
how hard all of this is and all the pain because one of my good friends
died in a car accident. I am deeply sorry and I know that you will one
day see Brittany again.

Dear Star,
I just wanted to let you know that not a day has gone by that I haven't
had you in my thoughts. I pray daily that somehow God will find a way to
ease the pain you are feeling...although, I feel like I must be asking
the impossible. But, through faith, I know God will find a way.
I have such positive memories of Brittany. The way she was so so kind to
everyone, always a smile on her face. She had such a tremendous spirit.
I can't help but remember the season with her in Pop Warner when she
broke her ankle. The way that she still continued to come to every
practice and the games was admirable. She just seemed happy to be a part
of things and support all of her friends. She was so kind and patient
with the little ones too, often times my youngest one would be up at the
practices waiting and bored, and Brittany would take the time to talk to
her and help the time pass more quickly.
Then last season Brittany came by my Jr. Pee Wee squad to help us teach
little ones learn their cheers, and of course they all loved her, just
like everyone did.
You created such a loving family for her, and were always so involved
with her life, which is part of what helped her to be such a beautiful
person, inside as well as out. She was such a good girl.
Please know that I care so much about you and your family. My heart
aches.
With Love,
Mandy Deramo

dear brittany and her family,
I know you don't know me but my name is Melissa and I'm a sophomore.
When I found out what had happened to brittany I was sobbing in
tears.... I don't even know her and I felt really really bad. I
can't even imagine all the pain and hurt you must be going through right
now.
Brittany is in the best place she could possibly be.
she's an angel looking down on her family and friends. In my opinion I
think god has a plan for all of us we just don't know it yet. I don't
believe it was brittany's time to go yet...some things just cannot be
helped.
I just wanted to tell you how terribly sorry I am to
hear about this because it could happen to anyone. Brittany is in a
place where there is peace she's an angel floating above a cloud.
Love,
Melissa Ann

I just wanted to say my thoughts and prayers are with your whole family
through this difficult time. Some people just shine too bright for this
world. But here's a quote for you that looks like Brittany already
knew...."The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their
dreams!"

Starlene,
I know yesterday must have been a very difficult day for you. I do not
know you - but spent the day thinking about you and your family - mostly
wondering how you were handling it. I did not know Brittany, but have
followed her story and have enjoyed getting to know her and the rest of
your loving family through this wonderful website. My heart aches for
all of you. Such an amazing little lady - who spread so much love and
happiness in the short fifteen years that she was here. You have so much
to be proud of, Starlene. Brittany may no longer be here, but you will
ALWAYS be her Mother. You brought this very special, creative,
energetic, happy, kind, caring and beautiful person into the world. She
loved laughter, people and life - which is reflection of how you raised
her. You've done a great job, Mom! Live strong through Brittany's memory
and shower those two little adorable sisters of hers with as much love
as you can. It may be tough to get back what used to seem "normal," but
you can do it Starlene.
In the meantime, we will ALL continue to pray for and support your
family as you regain your strength.
God bless you and your family.
