Hey baby girl, your party was awesome. Although I didn't get to stay long
I enjoyed being there. It wasn't the same as if you were there but I
know you were in spirit. I miss you. I know we hadn't talked in like 7
years, and
even though we were not close close I feel a huge emptiness in my life.
I regret not staying in touch. I still can't get into my head that you
are really gone, and that you won't get a chance to meet my kids. I show
them your pics alot because they see me looking at it alot, I tell them
"this is Brittany and she was a very wonderful person. I tell them
stories about you and how special you are and what a difference you made
in everyone's lives. Please watch over them. I heard you came bake to
your b-day,i'm glad your mom and dad needed it. Well bye for now i'll
write again soon. love&miss you. I'll never forget you.

Thank you so much for sharing pictures of Brittany's birthday. Such a
touching celebration, I truly wish I could have been there. The pictures
are priceless. Some pictures brought tears to my eyes, others awe in the
artwork by Coco and memory box made in Brittany's honor by Star, Melinda
and Baylee, others a smile across my lips to see everyone gathered
together...and most importantly I felt such warmth and comfort seeing
the butterfly come back.
Star and Tony, I am amazed at the wonderful little lady that you brought
into this world. Her beauty, kindness, warmth and love of life is truly
a reflection of who you are and what you taught her. You are my heroes
and I will continue to pray that your pain will ease and you find some
peace in your hearts in the days to come.
God bless.

Hi Brittany, i don't know you.. i never did. I used to cheer for CA when
I was in 8th grade, and so i always check up on the website every now
and then, this time I saw something different. I'm very sorry.. my
biggest fear in life is dying, i've never had anyone close to me die..
and it's hard to look at people my age that have had their lives taken
away from them. It must be hard, and I bet you miss your family. It's
obvious that they love you very much, and your lucky to have them care
for you like that. I hope one day, when i'm in heaven, I will get to
meet you because we share a lot of things in common. I hope that things
get better for your family, and i hope their strength gets stronger
everyday. God bless you and your family. I'll keep you in my prayers.

My Dear Sweet Baby Girl,
I wanted to wish you a very Happy Sweet 16...
I feel this has been one of the hardest days of all. I don't know any
parent that doesn't look forward to the day their daughter turns 16 and
has the big Sweet 16 Birthday party.
I hope you enjoyed your party. I tried to do everything we had talked
about having for you before all this happen. When it was all over all I
could feel was an overwhelming sadness that it will be the last BIG
Birthday party I will ever have for you. I just cant tell you how bad
that hurts...
Valerie brought live butterflies for the family to release and it was
such a beautiful thing for all of us and over an hour later one came
back to the party...it was truly amazing!! I know it was you... Thank
you for coming back to us. You even let me hold you and take a picture
with me and your dad. Its a memory of that day I will never forget. I
felt it was a true blessing from God and you to tell us all how much you
are with us.
I love you so much and miss you with all my heart. I wish some way I
could change everything and you could come back to me. I live in deep
sadness without you everyday. I know my life will never be the same
without you and it just seems impossible to go on. You are truly my Hero
and I will always cherish everything you brought to my life. The short
16 years you gave me were the best years of my life...I cant thank you
enough for making me the proudest mother ever. I just always hope and
pray that I gave you just as much happiness that you brought to me
everyday of my life.
Happy Birthday my little sweetheart...
I Love you always and forever...

beach. I went to the beach today to throw flowers in the ocean for Jake.
I hope you got the chance to meet him and he gave you a huge birthday
hug from all of us! I threw an extra pink flower in the water, too. It's
for you, I know he wouldn't mind. I'm sure everyone appreciates when you
shine from Heaven to say hello. It's a hard thing to miss having two
wonderful people like you and Jake here with us and we think about you

Sixteen Candles
Roy Orbison
Happy birthday, happy birthday, baby
Oh, I love you so
Sixteen candles make a lovely light
But not as bright as your eyes tonight (as your eyes tonight) (oh) Blow
out the candles, make your wish come true For I’ll be wishing that you
love me, too (that you love me, too)
You’re only sixteen (sixteen)
But you’re my teenage queen (you’re my queen)
You’re the prettiest, loveliest girl I’ve ever seen (I’ve ever seen)
(oh!)
Sixteen candles in my heart will glow
For ever and ever for I love you so (for I love you so)
You’re only sixteen (sixteen)
But you’re my teenage queen (you’re my queen)
Oh, you’re the prettiest, loveliest girl I’ve ever seen (I’ve ever seen)
(oh!)
Sixteen candles in my heart will glow
For ever and ever for I love you so (for I love you so)
For I love you so!!!

Dear Brittany,
Happy sweet 16th birthday. I have never met you, but I have friends that
cheered with you. When I heard about this horrible accident I wanted to
know more bcuz so many of my friends were hurt by this tragedy.
As I learned more and read more about you, I began to feel so
sorry for your family and even you, as if somehow now I feel like I knew
you. I have a bracelet and I just think about this all the time.
Many of my friends have passed away in car accidents this year,
its unbelievable. Every time I read this site I break down in tears, becuz I have younger siblings and I wouldn't want them to lose me.
I want to just pray your families will make it. You seemed like

Before I entered this site I was searching for cheer gyms and I came
across California All-Stars. I was looking through their many pictures
and seemed to have stumbled on one very beautiful young girl. This girl
looked about my age so I wanted to see what had been so horrible to have
taken her from her wonderful family. As I read through the letters on
this site my heart went out to the Curcio family as well as Brittany
herself. It also made me think of how things in life can change so
quickly. I would just like the family of Brittany Curcio to know that my

Dear Mr.& Mrs.Curcio,
I did not have the joy of knowing Brittany personally, but from what I
have heard she is a great person. I am a member of the AVID program as
was Brittany. This year being a senior I am going to do my best to keep
Brittany's spirit alive in the class as well as inform all of the under-
classmen of the dangers that were involved in the tragic accident.
When this tragedy happened I did everything that I could to
help. I was the person who got Ralph's Grocery Company to donate flowers,
but I think that Mr. Trecker kept them for her chair the day after the
ceremony.
I am very sorry for your loss, and I am willing to help in
anyway. I would also like to be a part of the STAAR program that Rayni
started. I am a friend of both Rayni and Eugenia who were close to her.
I saw what an impact her passing away had on the entire school, for that
I am devastated that I didn't get a chance to meet her.
If there is any way that I can help please let me know. ~Alea

Hi
I never knew Brittany, but a lot of my friends did. I cheer,
and I can see what a great person she was. I come to this site almost
every day, and each time, it makes me cry, even though I didn't know
her. I think that what her mom is doing is absolutely great, taking the
tragic incident that happened to her daughter and turning it into
something positive and trying to help others.
I know that what you went
through was probably so horrible and hard and you think your dreaming at
times, and I could only imagine what the pain is like since I have never
lost anyone close to me. I think Brittany was so pretty, and in every
picture you can just see the love between her and her siblings, and mom
and dad. You can tell that she loved her friends & family just from the
glitter in her eyes in pictures of them together. I think that even
though I didn't know her or you, that you should remember that.
Well I
just want to end this with the fact that there is always a bright side
to every situation, and I know that she is in heaven smiling down on her
family and friends. God Bless the Curcio's for their loss of a young,
beautiful girl who touched so many lives.

little plastic door and running into the wall. The times when we played
boats and made neat-os and playing hide n seek in the dark, dancing
around the room and singing to old music that we listened to when we were
little. I want to quote lines from Napolean Dynomite with you and freak
dance to Scary Movie 3 theme music-haha.
I just want to thank you for the wonderful 15 years that we all
had with you. You are a wonderful person and the bestest friend a girl
can ever wish for. I look at Erin and Gia and I see us.
I love you more than words can ever be able to say. I will
forever treasure the times we spent together. Shine bright our little
star.
love you much!

I just wanted to say that Brittany was a beautiful girl. She was the
nicest person, I would always count on her to talk about something when
I had a problem or just needed someone to talk to. She was such a sweet
generous little girl .
I met her on the way to Florida for a competition. I was on
junior coed and she was on senior novice and we had to sit next to each
other on the plane, and of course when you are just meeting someone you
are a little shy but she made it so easy to just talk to her, it was
like I knew her my whole life. We could talk about anything just forever
and just have so much fun. She would always give me advice, and correct
me if I was right or wrong. I would always tell my friends about her and
they would just be in total shock that I had a 15 year old friend that
was sweet to me. I was just so happy, it was like she was my older
sister except we didn't fight as much as siblings usually do. She was
the sister that I never had!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then it came time to watch the teams on the little screen that
they had set up, and when my team came on the screen she just started
screaming and yelling ,yeah yeah that's Treasure. I was like really
happy so of course I did the same thing for her and she was really happy
too.
I was so happy that we met! On the last day that I saw her, it
was at the banquet and she was so beautiful, and she was always like,
Treasure come here hang out with me and so I did. We would just talk and
talk and laugh and laugh and had so much fun. When I had to leave my
parents were waiting outside, I gave her a big hug and little did I know
that was the last hug I would ever give her.
Then when we were at tryouts for California All Stars we all
did really good and realized that Brittany wasn't there, and she said
that she was going to be there and try out. Then my coach called all of
us over at the end of tryouts and she was saying how well we did, and
then she started talking about the loss of Brittany, and I was just like
no it can't be my Brittany.
Your friend
Treasure Frescura
P.S.
Even though I am only 12 years old if the parents need some one
to talk to I am there for them and they have my number and e-mail
address if they need to talk to someone.
God Bless your family

Hey Brittany,
It has been months since your passing and I still cannot seem to find the
things I want so badly to say to you. I have not attended any of your
memorials, in fear. See, you are the third friend of mine that had
passed away this year. Now that I write that, it seems like a dumb
excuse. I am FOR SURE coming to your sweet sixteenth birthday. I'm
looking forward to meeting your mom and family. We had classes together
and talked, but I never got to know you real well, the way I wish I
could now.
About a month before your passing, I went out to lunch with my friend
Lauren, and your brother Geoff. At the time I had no clue that you two
even knew each other! I remember now him speaking of his family, and you
in particular. He really loves you.
You have truly changed my life and outlook on things. You've made me a
better person. You are so beautiful; so caring. I think of you everyday,
and miss you.

The other day I was out driving around San Diego with friends, as we have
always done... just to get away from the hassle of worrying about our
jobs, summer school and moving away next month for college. One of my
friends at first refused to put on her seatbelt. She said that since we
were only driving for a few minutes more, that she did not have to. I
immediately pulled over (on the side of the freeway) and told her about
Brittany's accident and how her passing away could have been stopped had
she worn her seatbelt. I burst out in tears as I continued on with the
details. Well, long story short, my friend put on her seatbelt and vowed
to always wear it from now on.
We all had a little moment of silence.
What was going through my mind, was could I have just saved my friends
life? If I got hit while driving or if I lost control of my car, there
was a good chance that my friend who was not wearing her seatbelt, would
not be here today. That's the lesson I learned from Brittany's accident.
Think first, be smart, for you may not get a second chance.
I still think and pray about Brittany Star Curcio up in
Heaven and I wear the pink bracelet everyday as a reminder. God Bless.

I didn't know Brittany. I came across this website after looking at the
California All-stars website. I cheered for the Kentucky Wolfpack and
met the California All-stars at WSF in Las Vegas, in April. I was very
sad to see that such a beautiful young lady was taken so suddenly. I
know the pain you all must be feeling.
July 12th made one year since my
friend Diana past away in a car accident, and it still hurts just as bad
as the day it happened. Websites like these where you can come and just
share memories and feelings are so special. I encourage everyone who
visits this to sign. You have no idea how much it means to the people
who have lost someone. You can sign it more than once, in fact sign it
as often as you can! I visit the one for Diana every day and someone as
always added something new, even after a year has past.
To Brittany's family and friends. I know that what you are going through
must be so difficult, but just remember this quote that was one of
Diana's favorites, "never regret something that once made you smile" and
from what I can tell Brittany made you smile all the time! I also wanted
to say I think it is awesome that you have started the STAAR program, it
will make a difference in many peoples lives. My prayers are with you
and I'm sure Brittany is watching over all of you! GOD BLESS!

I didn't know Brittany but I did pop warner for the San Marcos knights one
year and I believe that I met Brittany at one of the pop warner midget
football games. Brittany was a very nice girl. I am sad that she is gone
and I hope the family and close friends will be okay.

Dear Brittany and Family,
I never knew Brittany, I didn't even go to her school. but many friends of
mine did know her and reading her guestbook and myspace and looking at
pictures really shows how wonderful of a person she was. I really wish I
did have a chance to meet her, she seemed like an amazing girl. When I
first heard about the news and read what people had to say, I never even
had the slightest idea what they were going through or the pain they
must be feeling.
Two weeks ago on July 1 my best friend of 13 years passed away
in a car accident. I never thought I'd be saying this, but now I know
how you must be feeling. It's a horrible feeling that can not be
described, and I just wanted to tell you that a day hasn't gone by where
I haven't prayed for Brittany and her family. You are always in my
thoughts and my prayers... along side with my friend, Jake.
Brittany, I hope all is well in heaven, please take care of Jake for me. I
wish we could've met but hopefully you and Jake are having a great time
up there. I'll see you later.

Hey Brittany. I think about you every day…all of the fun memories that we
had together. I wonder what heaven is like? I bet you are partying with
Jesus! I miss you so much. My life will never be the same without you.
Things just started to get better for me…but then Nic Lowe died a couple
of days ago…You loved Nic so much…You thought he was so cute…and now you
are both gone.
I pray each and every day that life will get easier…but
it doesn’t. I miss you so much and the pain just won’t go away. The pain
of knowing that I will never see you again. The pain of knowing that I
will never feel the warmth of your hugs or the sound of your voice. Even
saying those words gives me chills. I know that you have a new body and
are sitting on Jesus’ lap, smiling. It will never be goodbye for you and
I but just see you later and I love you!
Love you Forever and Always,
Tiffany
